Taking place from August 28th to 30th, over the Bank Holiday weekend, the beautiful Scampston Hall in Yorkshire, will open up its stunning vast parkland to host the first ever Great Northern Food and Drink Festival.
Unlike other food festivals, this one is focusing purely on independent producers in the north of England, some which have been born out of Lockdown, and others who have had family recipes and methods passed down to them through the generations.
There will be lots of new tastes and smells to experience from a vast variety of foods from around the north, incorporating foods from around the world made with local produce. You may want to wash them down with some fabulous craft ales and small batch spirits and liqueurs, as well as imaginative cocktails with local botanicals.
This is an event for the whole family with a vintage fun fair with nostalgic rides that mum and dad and maybe gran can remember from their childhood days and the next generation will love the thrill of them.
There will be classic cars on show and the opportunity to chat to the owners, whilst listening to some great tunes from the stage area.
If you are in the learning mode there’s a demo tent where you can watch the experts and broaden your cookery skills before browsing the craft stalls packed with amazing things by local crafters.
There’s a free shuttle bus from Malton or plus plenty of parking at Scampston and you need not leave Fido at home as its a dog friendly event.
