The Library in Leeds will be hosting a charity gig in aid of Music Minds Matter, a charity helpline for the UK music community, which provides trained staff offering emotional support, advice and therapy to those suffering with mental health problems.
Customers can expect electric performances from Indie Rock bands such as headliners Atlanta House, The Common Dogs and four-piece retro power pop group, The Harriets.
Music Minds Matter intends to use the proceeds of the gig to improve its services and increase awareness of mental illness in the UK. The organisation believes that, with the right support, sufferers can begin their journey to recovery.
Phil Clay, General Manager of The Library, said: ?The charity is important to us because the life of a musician can often be stressful and isolating and mental health in the music industry is something that needs a more vocal and obvious support network. What better way to raise money for the cause, than through the power of music.?
The gig takes place at The Library pub in Woodhouse Lane on 26 May from 19.30 to 23.00
