There’s an exciting season ahead at The Lawrence Batley Theatre, Huddersfield

TikTok star Cody Daigle-Orians’ new play Danny Echo is being staged for the very first time Wed 12 – Fri 14 October by Huddersfield based company Root and Branch Productions supported by Lawrence Batley Theatre. This world premiere is a Black Mirror style exploration of how advances in robotics may impact our futures.

Renowned choreographer Jasmin Vardimon’s new show ALiCE comes to the venue on Wed 21 – Thu 22 September for its only Yorkshire date. Vardimon is at the forefront of dance and digital technology.  The new show is a reimagining the ground-breaking classic Alice in Wonderland.

Pilot Theatre bring Malorie Blackman’s famous book Noughts & Crosses to the stage Tue 1 – Sat 5 November. Told from the perspectives of two teenagers, Noughts & Crosses is a captivating love story set in a volatile, racially segregated society and explores the powerful themes of love, revolution and what it means to grow up in a divided world.

The autumn season features a string of high-profile stand-up comedians including Jason Manford, Milton Jones and Daliso Chaponda. Jason Byrne is also performing his new show Unblocked in October. Lawrence Batley Theatre is one of Jason’s favourite venues, his show attracts a familiar crowd as audiences return year after year. His last tour, Audience Precipitation, was filmed at the Yorkshire venue.

Tickets for the autumn season are now on sale. More information and tickets can be found at thelbt.org.
