Sit back, relax and take in some of the best views Yorkshire has to offer this Easter, with a journey on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR), which is now open for its 2022 season.
Families can enjoy a nostalgic journey at the popular visitor attraction with full line return tickets, set departure and return times and reserved seats on the ‘Seaside Special’ from Pickering or ‘Yorkshire Express’ from Whitby. Shorter trips are also available to buy on the day from the booking offices.
This Easter, to help visitors plan their journey and make the most of their experience at the heritage railway, the NYMR has also launched a host of exciting suggested itineraries* which can be found on the website.
The NYMR has also created a selection of locally-made Easter treats within the station Tea Rooms along the line. From an Easter Iced coffee to an Ice Cream Sundae special or Easter Bunny ginger biscuit there’s something for everyone.
More than just an Easter treat for the young and the young at heart, rest assured that when visiting the NYMR, every penny you spend on tickets, tea, cakes and souvenirs goes back into necessary funding towards providing memorable experiences for visitors, fulfilment for volunteers and staff of the heritage railway to ensure all charitable aims are being delivered. This means you’ll be contributing directly to the running of the heritage railway as a dedicated charity.
