The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) is gearing itself up for a fun-filled winter season this December with Santa Specials and festive fayre served aboard a Pullman service  all great reasons to be merry.

Families looking to bring some Christmas magic to their little ones, should hop aboard a heritage steam engine on a 60-minute journey to help Santa and his elves save Christmas, which will operate on weekends in December, as well as 21st – 24th*. Departing from Pickering Station, visitors will catch a glimpse of Santa and enjoy festive entertainment from his helpers, before steaming along to Levisham Station as they help make toys for good girls and boys.

NYMR has also just released details of its Christmas Pullman dining experience and festive fayre menu. Guests can choose from smoked salmon parcels, chicken liver pate, festive turkey, roast topside of beef, not forgetting Christmas pud with hot rum sauce, amongst many other delectable dishes.

The Christmas Moorlander service departs from Grosmont station at 12.30pm on a variety of dates in December and January. Further details can be found here nymr.co.uk/christmas-moorlander .

Due to Covid-19 control measures** and to help the railway maintain capacity, pre-booking is essential, so book now by visiting nymr.co.uk/santa-reimagined – Yule be glad you did!
