SANTA’S SLEIGH SPOTTED IN LEEDS CITY CENTRE
Victoria Leeds celebrates the ho-ho-holiday season in style
A festive wonderland has been unveiled outside Victoria Gate as the city’s most-magical Santa’s Grotto officially opens its doors for the holiday season.
The traditional Grotto offers families the chance to visit the jolliest Christmas character of them all. After escaping from the cold, visitors will be transported to a winter wonderland – exactly like Santa’s home in the North Pole – full of festive decorations and a troupe of happy elves to guide them through their journey.
Despite his busy schedule ahead, he’ll be at Victoria Gate daily between 10am and 6pm until Christmas Eve, when he’ll fly off on his sleigh to deliver gifts to boys and girls around the world.
Tickets for the Grotto are priced at £9.50 per child and includes a wrapped gift, a chat with Santa and the chance for parents to grab a festive family selfie with Mr Claus. The experience will be made even more magical for kids as Santa helps them to plant a special bean which will miraculously turn into a mini Christmas tree which they decorate in the grotto before taking home.
Victoria Leeds is also offering Grotto-going parents the chance to get £3 off their car parking following every visit.
Jo Colburn, General Manager at Victoria Leeds, said: “Not only is a visit to Santa’s Grotto a chance for children to meet the infamous Mr Claus, but it’s also an opportunity for the whole family to spend time getting into the festive spirit together. It’s such a magical time of year and we’re so delighted to bring some Christmas cheer to the people of Leeds.”
