To celebrate the October half term and to highlight Cineworld’s Family ticket offering, where adults pay kids’ prices, the cinema chain will transform their cinema in at the White Rose Centre in Leeds to get adults to embrace their inner child.
To encourage adults and kids alike to embrace their childish side, areas within the cinema from Saturday 27th October, will be transformed to include interactive games and activities including a giant ball pit and the world’s largest floor piano that many adults may recognise from cult 80s Tom Hanks classic, Big.
Elements of the activity will remain in the cinema for the rest of the half term holiday. These will include; hopscotch to queue, an interactive shadow wall and a life-sized snow globe inspired by the soon to be released movie, The Grinch.
To launch the week-long event, Cineworld are inviting families to come down to the cinema on Saturday morning at 10am to be the first to experience this Be More Childish event. The opening morning’s event will conclude with a screening of, latest blockbuster, Smallfoot. Actress and presenter Denise Van Outen and her daughter Betsy will also be in attendance to officially launch the revelries and encourage adults to have fun and indulge their inner child. Aside from launching the activity, Denise has also collaborated with Cineworld to help curate the experience including a colouring in wall inspired by her favourite films to test families and their colouring in skills.
