Join BBC 2’s Clare Teal for an evening of jazz and swing on Saturday 30 June at Leeds Town Hall.
On the programme is a mix from the grand masters, Cole Porter and Rodgers & Hart to the witty and urbane stylists of the 50s and 60s Cy Coleman, Carolyn Leigh and Dave Brubeck, with a nod to contemporary writers and originals too.
Four times the winner of the British Jazz Vocalist of the Year , Clare is also a previous winner of the BBC Jazz Vocalist of the Year . She made history for signing the biggest recording contract by a British jazz singer and has toured across the globe with her pianist, trio, Big Mini Big Band and a Hollywood Orchestra. Clare has also performed with The Hallé, BBC Concert Orchestra and with the John Wilson Orchestra at the BBC Proms.
Clare is joined at the Town Hall by her Big Mini Band of top flight jazz players .
