After 55 years of non stop touring you would imagine that a group like The Searchers would be either ready to finally hang up their high button black stage suits or trim their punishing schedule – but they are doing neither.
Founded in the late fifties they had hits like Needles and Pins, Don’t Throw Your Love Away and When You Walk in the Room to name but a few.
Through five decades The Searchers have toured constantly playing 150-200 concerts throughout the year. They have performed regularly in the U.S.A. and for British Forces in the Falklands, Belfast and Bosnia.
And now this hugely popular group is making a welcome return to The Kings Hall, Ilkley for an evening of classic hits and entertaining anecdotes on Friday 25 May. A gig not to be missed.
