BURN CALORIES FOR CASH AT THE GIFFGAFF MONEY FIT GYM CHALLENGE
giffgaff money are hosting a special Money Fit Gym Challenge on the 27th of January, giving the public a chance to earn money for every calorie they burn in a 20-minute gym session.
Hosted at Firehouse Fitness, Leeds, giffgaff money will be giving participants 20p for every calorie they burn during the 20 minutes, with a cap of £40 for 200 calories burned. Those looking to participate should register their interest on the Money Fit Gym Challenge site.
Timetable for the challenge as follows:
• Challenge starts: 12pm
• Challenge closes: 3pm
• Those participating in the event must be over the age of 16 and book a one-hour window for their attendance (12-1, 1-2, or 2-3) through the event’s signup page, https://www.giffgaff.com/money/giffgaff-money-fit-gym-challenge/sign-up
Nicola Vidal, Head of Commerce at giffgaff money, explains how the gym challenge came about:
“We’re passionate about getting people financially fit and thought there was no better way to help them out than by rewarding them for working up a sweat!”
“When you have long-term savings plans, it can feel like day-to-day expenses and weekly shops are holding you back. Hopefully those who take on the challenge will earn a little bit of cash to help them out and keep them on track for whatever they’re saving for.”
Rob McGuigan, Co-owner of Firehouse Fitness, is also looking forward to people taking on the challenge:
