A burgeoning national reputation encompasses this enticing bassist led trio. Paul Baxter’s “Eyeshutight” demand to be listened to, his relaxed style of playing and composing encourages intuitive interaction from his long standing cohorts the fluid and entertaining Johnny Tomlinson on piano and Kris Wright’s subtle brushes and hammering sticks on drums. The sound encompasses serene melodic takes and driving rhythms to set the pulse racing. This tour promotes the trio’s latest CD “Resonance” which has met with great reviews describing it as masterly, exciting and exceeding expectations.
