Christmas comes early to the Carriageworks Theatre on Friday 11 November and Saturday 12 November when On Stage Productions present their sixth pantomime Snow White at the theatre.A traditional family pantomime from the pen of pantomime supremo the late Chris Fox its packed with all the elements of vintage pantomime – comedy, song dance and of course bags of audience participation, Snow White will enthral both the young and the not so young at heart.Topping the bill once again is Dale Ibbetson as Muddles. Dale is joined by a cast of pantomime favourites and supported by the students of On Stage Theatre Arts Academy.
This is the sixth pantomime by the founder of On Stage Theatre Arts Academy, Chris Fox. Chris started the Academy 17 years ago to teach the “nuts and bolts and good old fashioned skills and values of professional theatre” that are sometimes forgotten today and putting on one of his pantomimes is their way of remembering him and his tireless work with the youngsters. It also gives the students a chance to work alongside a cast of professional principals which is good experience for them.
So if you want to cheer the goodies, hiss the baddies, shout until you are hoarse and indulge yourself in some pre-Christmas spirit Snow White takes to the stage on Friday 11 November at 7.00pm and Saturday 12 November at 2pm and 7.00pm. Box Office 0113 376 0318.
